Isole di plastica

A clumsy attempt to build oasis between urban roads, buildings and cars. These “Islands”, are made of plastic and embedded in concrete, as if they were imprisoned between metal fences. These structures were built with the purpose of giving children a safe space to engage and play in their neighborhoods, away from the dangers of the metropolis. But such spaces cannot replace the benefits of a large natural space outside the city, therefore they end up looking unhealthy and out of place. Even the interaction between children, more often than not ends up being limited by the same structure.
